We have been notified of network maintenance which will be taking place with our third-party supplier, on the circuit between Saxon House, Cheltenham and Telehouse North, London.

The service will be at risk for the following period:
Start Time: 07/05/2026 22:00
End Time: 08/05/2026 08:00
Service Affecting: estimated up to six hours of outage.

Impact:
There will be an impact to services between Cheltenham and London as outlined above. The impact will take place at some point during the timeframe stated above whilst technicians complete the maintenance work.

The service outage should only last for up to six hours; however, an ten-hour timeframe has been given in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

No services will be taken down until 00:01

Please note that Saxon House benefits from diverse Colt connectivity, which will maintain internet connectivity at the site throughout this maintenance window.

Reason:
This work is required to replace a fibre joint within the Virgin Media O2 network, ensuring it meets current standards and improves overall network performance and reliability.

Virgin Media O2 and Blynx AIM would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this maintenance.

Dear customer,

We have been notified that our transit supplier for Saxon House is planning emergency scheduled maintenance to replace a damaged fibre within their network. This will reduce redundancy at Saxon House.

What?
Colt intends to carry out internal maintenance within its network. This has been designated as an EMERGENCY. The nature of this work is to perform traffic-affecting work in order to rectify a fault. Outage: 6 hours

Why?
Work is required to replace a damaged section of cable under controlled conditions to avoid a longer unplanned outage to services should it fail unexpectedly.

Where?
Three circuits from Saxon House, Cheltenham to London.

When?
Start: 2026-04-30 23:00 GMT
End: 2026-05-01 05:00 GMT

No service interruption is expected at the Saxon House data centre during this maintenance window. However, all network services should be considered at risk for the duration of the maintenance window. All efforts will be made to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum.

Do I need to do anything?
No action is required on your part. We recommend that you make your technical teams aware of the maintenance window as a precaution.
